Kanthaugen Freestyle Arena Lillehammer

Kanthaugen Freestyle Facility serves as an arena for moguls, freestyle jump and ballet (demo events during the 1994 Winter Olympics). The ballet hill in the facility is now used for toboganning and other activities.
The slope on the 1-km-long hill is not too steep and can be floodlit at night for event.

Toboganning is not an Olympic discipline, but it has still become one of Lillehammer’s most popular winter activities. A tow-bar on the ski lift pulls you and the sled up the hill while you are sitting on the sled. Once at the top, a spectacular ride down a professionally prepped track awaits you. The sleds have brakes so you can regulate the speed yourself.

Everyone is equipped with a helmet and goggles at the start. After a few trips you really get the hang of it, and we guarantee that you will have the ride of your life.

Toboganning is suitable for all age groups, but you need to be 10 years to drive alone. Welcome to a snow-filled sledding adventure!

Events
Groups can rent the facility and organize their own sledding competitions. Special courses can be prepared and groups can even have a parallel slalom competition on sleds.

Facilities
There is a warming house at the bottom of the hill serving hot and cold beverages. Wireless microphones can be used with the professional music system at the site. Special heavy-duty, insulated ski suits are available for rent if desirable.

Season
The normal winter season lasts from the beginning of December until the middle of April.
